The People

Bob Peime is a classic 'man of action' – from an early age he has only known one speed – flat out. With a background as a mechanic, he has evolved through a successful career in the fishing industry while filling any leisure time with scuba diving, enduro motor bike riding and even Off Shore Boat racing holding the Australian Championship for two years in his class. More recently Bob had the desire to fulfil a dream to fly – and not just aeroplanes - it had to be helicopters. This one nearly defeated him but after 18 long months he was in the air and now enjoys flying regularly.

Sue Peime, often asks 'what was I thinking!' when taking on not only Bob, but also his four boys in 1993. Sue came from a banking and administration background and was certainly ready for a change when they fell in love with the Dromana property, which they purchased in 1997. The idea was to plant vines, run some cattle and provide the perfect playground (and future) for the sons. Bob and Sue did a short course in viticulture and became hooked – even the drudgery and sweat of endless planting didn't dent their enthusiasm. To top it off, through all of this, Sue was pregnant with her first child, Blake.

And now to the boys;

The oldest of the sons are twins Cliff and Scott, turning 23 in June 2009, both working full time and living in their own place and enjoying their newfound independence.

Steve will be 21 in July 2009. Steve is enjoying a career training in the IT industry.

Rob will be 19 in August 2009. With strong interests in cars, motor bike - basically anything with an engine.

There's eight years between Rob and the last of the boys, Blake, who is 9. Blake is in Grade 4 this year and attacking school with 'foot to the floor' enthusiasm - no wondering where that comes from.

Then there's our team;

Our Operations Manager is Trent Williams who is responsible for our wholesale business and heads up our cellar door and events team.  You may well meet Trent, Lynne, Alan or Kim at our cellar door.  In the kitchen you may find Pam, Jess, Jenna, Emma or Mandy. They all have a passion for food & wine, and making you feel welcome.  You could also find yourself talking to Kath in the office - jill of all trades! 

And behind the scenes is Mark and John - always keeping the grounds maintained for your enjoyment.
